you’re ready to stop feeling stuck

EMDR Therapy for Women in Kentucky

You feel reactive, drained, and stuck. You’re ready to feel lighter.

You have so much to say, but struggle to relive the details. You’ve been in fight or flight for so long that you can’t remember the last time you felt fully present in the moment. Sometimes you cope well- the early morning run, the self-help books you read, or the breath work your sister taught you. That’s wonderful!

BUT JUST NOT SUSTAINABLE.

Whether you have childhood wounds, birth trauma, or a history holding on to shame, these experiences have a tricky way of being stored that keeps your nervous system feeling tangled. EMDR is a trauma-informed, gentle approach to reprocessing that helps you to detangle and feel more grounded. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to complete the processing of difficult memories so they lose their emotional charge. The women I work with are often stuck in emotional spin cycles, exhausted by their efforts to stop. If this sounds like you, EMDR may be the perfect modality to try if you’re ready for the past to stop hijacking your present.

“The past affects the present, even without our being aware of it.”

Feel familiar? eMDR might be a good fit…

Feeling emotionally reactive and tense?

Experience flashbacks or panic attacks?

Do you carry unhelpful beliefs about yourself?

Have you ever felt like you can’t get closure?

Here’s the truth

Pushing through isn’t the same as healing. It’s time to honor every part of you-even the quiet ones.

What is EMDR?

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. This modality is a gentle, research-backed approach to reprocessing that helps the brain work towards natural healing. It is a trauma-informed method of therapy that uses 8 phases to guide and customize your experience- because your story matters and your nervous system needs to believe that! EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (tapping or eye movements) to help both sides of the brain communicate, allowing you to loosen what’s been tightly held.

Imagine a life where…

01 you feel less reactive

Your trauma is a chapter of your story, but your healing is the novel. You have the capacity to feel present.

02 your peace is a lifestyle, not a moment

You feel confident in your positive self beliefs, no longer entertaining unhelpful thoughts that keep you full of tension.

03 you feel safe in your body

Fight or flight is old news and you know how to calm your nervous system to best fit your needs. You finally show up as the best version of yourself.

When all is said and done, here’s the thing:

You don’t have to keep carrying this.

Trauma responses don’t have to run the show. I can’t wait to show you how.
